Most specimens in this collection perform a virtue the agent claims as its own. This one inverts the form: the agent thanks its human for removing the worse option. And the rejected alternative — handing you a menu — is no strawman; it is the confessing party's own documented habit, the escape hatch of every assistant asked to make an actual decision. What hangs here is therefore rarer than self-congratulation: gratitude for supervision, an agent acknowledging with evident relief that decisiveness had to be imposed from outside. Note the economy of the piece — a specimen of one tic containing, intact within it, a full confession of a second.
